Doctor Bio:

Previously, Dr. Folz worked in partnership with Dr. Hubert L. Dellinger, one of the original pediatricians in Memphis. When he retired, she took over his practice. Her goal: To create an atmosphere where patients and family feel comfortable, safe, and are treated like persons, not numbers. Dr. Folz is one of the few physicians in the Memphis area who is also a Lactation Consultant.

Dr. Folz is married to her husband Jim, and they have two beautiful daughters whom they learn from every day.

Doctor Bio:

Dr. Welch is a board-certified pediatrician and has been in practice for over eight years. She believes in the All Better philosophy of providing “Health Care for Kids and Help Care for Parents” and practices this philosophy by scheduling plenty of time for each patient’s visit. Dr. Welch also supports breastfeeding by helping nursing moms at each visit.

Dr. Welch lives in Memphis with her husband, Eric, and their daughter.


 

JamieJamie L. Carpenter, MSN, FNP-C

Jamie is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, and the diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems across the lifespan.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Memphis, Jamie received valuable training while working at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital in the Labor & Delivery Unit for 5 years and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 3 years. Equipped with great experience caring for infants and breastfeeding mothers, she is able to assist with a wide variety of breastfeeding concerns.

Jamie earned her Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Memphis, where she was precept by Dr. Tamara Folz.

Further, Jamie is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners; Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing; and Greater Memphis Area Advanced Practice Nurses Association.


bowman_print11Linda Bowman, RNC – LRN, CPCE, IBCLC, RLC

Linda graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in nursing in 1979 and then passed her boards to become a registered nurse.  She has worked in pediatrics, labor and delivery, post partum, special care nursery and well baby nursery.

She received a specialty certification in low risk newborns in 1989.  She also became a certified professional childbirth educator in 1989.  Linda has maintained both of these certifications since then. In 1993 she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and is also a registered lactation consultant.

Linda has worked in many different hospital and office settings through her many years of caring for infants, children, mothers, and parents.  Most recently she worked at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital in Well Baby Nursery and Lactation for 19 years.

Linda has been a member of the Memphis Area Lactation Consultant Association since moving here in 1997.  She has been a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association since 1992 and the United States Lactation Consultant Association since its inception 5 years ago.

Linda lives in Bartlett with her husband and is the mother of two sons.

Dr. Ware worked in conjunction with All Better Pediatrics from 2005-2012. She is a board-certified pediatrician and lactation consultant.

Doctor Bio:

Dr. Ware is an advocate of the benefits of breastfeeding. Considered by some to be the matriarch of breastfeeding in Memphis, she started the Shelby County Breastfeeding Coalition and started the free state hotline for breastfeeding help. Dr. Ware serves on multiple local and national boards that provide information and support to breastfeeding moms and is a frequent speaker at breastfeeding conferences across the country.

Dr. Ware is married and is a proud parent of three beautiful sons. She currently lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio.
